Gabrielle Garner
Gabrielle Garner is a musician and freelance writer.  She lives in New York City with her husband and two children. Although the relationship with her mother-in-law was rocky at the outset (D'UH!), the two now enjoy a special bond and unique rapport.  And with the relatively recent implementation of the devices outlined here, they have since developed a distinctive link and camaraderie through the love they share for the children. 

Susannah Lenay
Susannah Lenay is a writer living in South Florida. She is happily married and the proud mother of a very active toddler.  This has been quite the journey but as she put into practice a revised “slay 'em with kindness” strategy, unbelievably, her husband's family tempered their trademark intransigence. Her little one is the beneficiary. Isn't that what we all wish for our children?
